Jessup uses CDBG Grant to Support Mid Valley Senior Center

The Lackawanna County Commissioners, along with Jessup Borough, presented new Chromebooks to the Mid Valley Senior Center on May 22.  These chrome books will be available as a lending library so seniors can borrow and use them either on-site or in their home to improve their access to virtual programs such as online banking, streaming services, etc. This program has been funded through the Lackawanna County’s Office of Economic Development through Community Block Grant Development funding.

Pictured, in addition to the members of the Mid Valley Senior Community Center, were, United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA employees, Sarah Bodnar, Director of Community Health and Aging; Deborah Guzy, Manage, MID VALLEY, Senior Community Center; and Chrissy Manuel, Director of Development and Communications; and Lackawanna County representatives, Commissioner Bill Gaughan; Joshua Castellani, Confidential Assistant to Commissioner Matt McGloin; Peggy Piccotti, Office of Economic Development; Sara McDonald, Director, Area Agency on Aging; and Lauren Fitzgerald, Area Agency on Aging.
