Edward Karpovich, Treasurer
The Treasurer’s Office manages the County’s money. Duties include collecting and dispersing funds and handling licenses for private citizens.

Edward Karpovich has served as Treasurer of Lackawanna County for 8 terms beginning in 1992.  Mr. Karpovich is a life long resident of Lackawanna County, raised in the Mid-Valley and currently resides in Clarks Summit with his wife, the former Linda Luchetti. He has two children, both Lackawanna County residents, along with two grandchildren. 
Mr. Karpovich graduated from Bishop Hannon High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Scranton. 
Outside of the office, he serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Lackawanna County Agency for Community Empowerment, the United Cerebral Palsy Agency of NEPA, the Lackawanna County Pension Board and is VP of the University of Scranton Purple Club. He is also President of the Friends of Poland of Lackawanna County. 
Mr. Karpovich has been inducted into the Pennsylvania State Hall of Fame, the Chic Feldman Hall of Fame, the University of Scranton Hall of Fame and the Outstanding College Athletics of America.
