Insurance and Risk Management
Insurance and Risk Management oversees all aspects of county insurance in conjunction with the county’s insurers, agents and brokers to obtain optimum coverage at competitive pricing from financially sound insurance vendors.

The Deputy Director for Insurance and Risk Management interacts with the county’s legal team and claims adjusters to facilitate claim handling in order to resolve claims, including workers’ compensation, in the best interests of the county.

The deputy director is also the county’s designated Accident and Illness Prevention Program (A&IPP) coordinator, responsible for maintaining safe and healthy work environments at county facilities. In addition, the deputy director coordinates the county’s response to pertinent safety suggestions sent by county employees to Contact Me and conducts regular meetings of the county’s safety committee.
