The Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority (LHVA) is a National and State Heritage Area . It works in partnership with local organizations and agencies to implement projects that preserve, interpret, and enhance the historic, cultural, and natural resources of Northeastern Pennsylvania , including the development of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, a forty-mile recreational trail.
