Scranton, PA – Lackawanna County Commissioners Michael J. Washo, Corey D. O’Brien and A.J. Munchak, in conjunction with Lackawanna County Children and Youth Services (LCCYS) and the Lackawanna County Department of Arts and Culture, are accepting 2009-2010 grant applications for ARTSS Engage!
ARTSS Engage! funds organizations in order to offer high-quality public arts programs to all county children and youth. The programs must also integrate children and youth from LCCYS with the goal of developing positive social skills. LCCYS and the Department of Arts and Culture track the program outcomes, offer technical assistance and handle grant administration. The funding year is from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. All programs must occur during the funding year.
Organizations, schools and units of government may apply for up to $35,000. The application deadline is May 1. Awards will be announced in June.
